We’re excited to announce that TANIA ELLIS – The Social Business Company® is now committing to net zero emissions by 2030.
Net Zero means that the amount of greenhouse gases that are emitted into the atmosphere through our operations is not more than the amount taken out.
For us, this means that we will take measures to reduce our emissions and offset the emissions that we cannot reduce.
But we are not stopping here! Our aim is to become climate-positive by removing more emissions from the atmosphere than we emit.
B CORP CLIMATE EMERGENCY
The Danish national financial paper Børsen has brought an ad where we along with 12 other Danish BCorp certified companies have shared our Net Zero pledge and encourage other companies to join us.
With our commitment we have joined a global movement of over 500 companies of all sizes, from single person-companies to multigenerational family owned businesses to multi-billion-dollar public companies like Patagonia, The Guardian and The Body Shop, representing the broad diversity of the economy, have joined forces.
The goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to reach a 1.5 degree trajectory leading to net zero by the year 2030, is 20 years ahead of the 2050 targets set in the Paris Agreement.
This is to date the largest collective climate commitment taken by businesses – all represented through the B Corp movement.
